When I was a young adult, I believed my personality, formed through my personal history, was just who I was. I had no concept of the possibility to be different. I believed I was just stuck with how I turned out. This was painful and over time, I had a major breakthrough: I realized I could change. I was not just stuck in who I thought I was. I could make changes in my attitudes, my perceptions of life, and how I related to others. I didn't have to be a victim of my history, my upbringing, or circumstances. I felt a new freedom to choose how I wanted to be, to take conscious steps to be more aware. I became happier and more at peace with myself. I decided I wanted to help others realize and experience that they too could make changes in themselves and their lives. This is when I decided to study Psychology and become a Psychotherapist.

Unfortunately, I found Psychology to be limited in its theories of what we are capable of being and doing as it was so focused on our history and conditioning. I began taking Philosophy courses, and also read a lot on my own about Spiritual teachings from different cultures and religions. I began to practice meditation and my intuition developed along with it. I moved to California in 1982 to get my M.A. in Transpersonal Psychology (transpersonal means beyond the personality) which integrates Psychology and Spirituality to create a larger view of who we are and what we are capable of being. My life coaching training, intuitive development training, and teaching has taken me further in my ability to help you create what you want in your personal or professional life.

I continue to have breakthroughs, big and small, as I work on myself and with clients. I would love to work with you, helping you make a breakthrough in your life.

I am a licensed Marriage, Family & Child Therapist both in California (MFT28083) and Oregon (MFTT2274) and a Life Coach in practice for over 25 years.

I received a B.A. in Psychology from SUNY Binghamton and  M.A. in Transpersonal Counseling Psychology from JFK University in Orinda, CA. I began Coaching training at J.F.K. and advanced my training through GROW Training Institute, San Diego, CA and Mentorcoach, Baltimore, MD.

Since 1983, I have continued to expand my intuitive abilities and training. From 2000-2006 I taught Intuitive Development and Healing classes at Intuitive Way in Walnut Creek, CA.

I taught at St. Mary's College in Moraga, CA in the Graduate Psychology Department from 2001-2011 and taught in the undergraduate Psychology Department at J.F.K. University when it was in Orinda, CA. I have also trained and supervised Masters level MFT Interns in all aspects of preparation for licensure as Marriage, Family and Child Therapists.

I have extensive experience speaking publicly, leading groups and workshops in the community, as well as designing and delivering trainings for professionals in colleges, counseling centers, hospitals and various professional organizations.

I am Past President of Toastmasters, Chapter #7556, Berkeley, CA and Past Chairperson of the East Bay and Diablo, CA Chapters of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists. I have appeared on the Montel Williams show as a Relationship Expert and have written many articles for e-how.com.
